Attaching a kitchen table to the wall provides a more permanent solution for kitchen seating. This is also a way for parents to childproof their kitchen by eliminating the possibility of the table tipping when a small child pulls on the edge. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
- 1
Place the stud finder on the wall in the location where you want to attach the table. Slowly move the stud finder horizontally along the wall to locate two side-by-side studs.
2Mark the stud locations using a pencil. A stud is needed to support the table's weight once it is attached. A typical drywall connection will not support the table.
3Press the table edge to the wall with the base resting naturally on the floor. Line the wall bracket with the wall stud on the underside of the table. Draw a pencil mark on the wall through the bracket screw hole and remove the brackets.
4Drill a hole through each marked location and replace the brackets. Drive one 3-inch screw through the bracket to attach it to the wall stud.
5Drive one 1/2-inch screw through the top drill section on the wall bracket to attach it to the table.
