How to Make a Bank Shot in Foosball

Once you've got the hang of some of the basic foosball moves, you can start to experiment with some of the sport's trick shots. With a bank shot, you bounce a ball off one of the table's walls to hit your desired target.

Instructions

    1

Use the 3-man rod - the third rod from your goal - for this shot.

    2

Use the middle man on the 3-man rod to back-pin the ball, or hold it to the table with the player. This will stop its movement.

    3

Pick which of the two table walls you want to bank, or bounce, your shot off.

    4

Move the man slightly to the side of the ball opposite your chosen wall. Your man should only be touching about one-third of the ball.

    5

Roll your wrist toward the floor to push down on the third of the ball that your man is touching. The ball should head for the wall, bank off at an angle, and continue on toward your target.

    6

Think of the shot like banking a shot in pool - you use the wall to get the needed angle to hit your target.
