According to History.com, in 1892, William "Pudge" Heffelfinger, the first documented professional football player, was paid $500 to play for the Allegheny Athletic Association against the Pittsburgh Athletic Club. From that day football has evolved into the popular sport we know it as today. Although most of us will never play professional football, we all have the opportunity to play in our living rooms or in the office. A paper mini football is easy to make, and can be almost as much fun as the real thing.
Instructions
- 1
Take the sheet of paper and fold it in half longways, or "hotdog" style. Take a pencil and draw a line in the center of the paper to make the seam more visible.
2Cut or tear down the seam in the middle of the paper. Select one of the halves of paper, and fold it evenly longways. You can do the same to the other half, to make two mini footballs.
3Lay down the paper flat on the table. Take either the top left or right corner and fold it toward the opposite side until it makes a triangle.
4Continue to fold the paper into triangles, alternating left and right. Fold into triangles until you run out of paper to fold.
5You will have a small amount of paper remaining; take the additional paper and orient it upward. Take the additional paper and fold it into the sleeve of one of the triangles.
