Coffee Shop Decorating Ideas

Coffee Shop Decorating Ideas

Keep your potential customers in mind when decorating your coffee shop. Coffee shops have become a popular destination for individuals who want to do business, socialize and relax. Ensure you have sections dedicated to all clientele in a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Choose a theme, such as contemporary, and stick with it by incorporating it throughout the coffee shop. This can include modern art, coffee displays and eclectic seating.

Art

Ask local artists to hang some of their work in your coffee shop. This is a win-win for both of you. The art will be on display and advertise for the artist, while adding to the decor of the shop. This is also a conversational piece for customers. Hang coffee-themed pictures throughout the shop, including coffee bean fields and coffee itself.

Color

Neutral and brown tones are popular colors in a coffee shop. Use these colors on the walls and a beige or ecru shade on the trim, depending on how dark your paint is. Add interest to the decor with an accent wall that is a different color than the rest of the space and use that wall to feature a piece of art.

Seating

Set up your seating so it is conducive to all types of customers. Arrange some tables together for groups and also individual tables for solo guests. Ensure you leave room for tables along the wall for those who are using a laptop and need a little privacy. This should be out of the way so there is less noise.

Atmosphere

A coffee shop should be relaxing and easy to maneuver. Customers should be able to approach the counter upon entering the shop with uncluttered seating. Ensure customers can easily place their order and find a seat without having to walk the entire shop first. Offer low lighting in a separate section of the coffee shop, as well.
